Abstract
The study examines the dominant legal concept of constitutions and its effect on the adoption of sectarian and racial texts. It traces the origins of sectarian and racist ideas in European constitutions and their spread to the Middle East and North Africa, including Iraq and Lebanon, and the civil wars that resulted. The study discusses the rise of far-right movements in Europe and their sectarian and racist ideologies.
